McDonald’s has launched its campaign for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, UK by making dreams come true for three Thai kids with the selection of winning “McDonald’s Champions of Play” who will join in the world’s festival of sport from the track side. Applications are open until April 23 at all McDonald’s restaurants. The company has also announced it will reward Thai Olympians with 1 million baht for every gold medal won.
Mr.Hester Chew, Chairman of Executive Committee and Chief Executive of McThai Co., Ltd. said, “McDonald’s has been a continuous supporter of the Olympic Games, and London 2012 will mark the 44th year we have been part of the games, consistent with our Sport Marketing policy and the promotion of a Balanced Active Lifestyle with variety of food and exercise to burn off calories. At the latest, we have added UHT milk and fruit to both a la carte and Happy Meal menus as part of encouraging Thai kids to eat healthily and take exercise. The ‘McDonald’s Champions of Play’ will make dreams come true for Thai kids at the London Olympics, giving them the chance to visit the Olympic Village and meet athletes close up, as well as many other activities over 4 days.
